Federturismo Confindustria
Italy
Federturismo Confindustria is the Italian Travel and Tourism Federation, representing companies operating across the different areas of the tourism industry. Part of the Confindustria system, it currently includes 24 sector associations, 5 directly associated company members and several local associations, representing about 10,000 tourism enterprises.
Its membership includes all the major market players and, in some cases, 100% of the companies in a business area — hotels, villages and resorts, campings, tour operators and travel agents, airport management companies, thermal resorts, convention centres, transportation and car rentals, sailing, marinas, beach resorts, amusement and theme parks, travel retail and duty-free, ski-lift operators, entertainment, airline catering and restaurant-café businesses.
Federturismo supports a long-term tourism strategy placing economic competitiveness and sustainability at the centre of Italian and European tourism policy. It represents tourism-industry interests in economic policy and labour relations, provides information on tourism policy and legislation, promotes entrepreneurial values and sustainable tourism, fosters training opportunities, develops relations with similar organisations abroad, and conducts research and analysis on tourism supply, demand and legislation at national and European levels.
